Eschenbach Academy is designed to provide you and your staff access to low vision education and training online and on-demand. Check out our “Low Vision Basics” course to expand your knowledge on specific topics in the field of low vision including eye diseases and vision changes. You’ll also see a video interaction of an optometrist with a patient and be able to watch an example of how a low vision exam can be conducted including the selection of low vision aids for three different patients. After this online training is completed you will receive a certificate of completion.

It’s Macular Degeneration and Low Vision Awareness Month!
Prevent Blindness, the nation’s oldest volunteer eye health and safety organization, declared February as Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) /Low Vision Awareness Month with the goal of educating the public about AMD and low vision, as well as providing resources for them to reference if they are living with a visual impairment.
If you have patients with macular degeneration and you need help offering them solutions to maximize their remaining vision, we are here for you! Eschenbach can provide you and your staff the products, training and support you’ll need to help your patients complete their everyday tasks more easily.

Nicole Tremmel, our Marketing Specialist at Eschenbach, plays a vital role in maintaining the company’s CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system and generating various reports to support business operations. She has held this role for over 5 years, since August 2019.
Before joining Eschenbach, she worked in the fundraising and development department of a non-profit hospice agency organizing impactful events. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys outdoor activities year-round, from snowboarding in winter to softball, hiking, and biking in the warmer months. She looks forward to summer vacations with her family in Maine and weekends at her fiancée’s family cabin near Lake Placid, NY.

Optometrist Position Available!
Nemours SeniorCare is seeking an Optometrist to provide professional optometry services 8–24 hours per week at their Milford, DE clinic. This is a contracted position through a Professional Services Agreement. Responsibilities would include vision and eye health assessments, prescribing eyeglasses, referring patients as needed, maintaining electronic medical records, and supervising technical staff. Workspace, equipment, supplies, and support personnel would be included. Candidates must be licensed in Delaware, have federal registration to prescribe controlled substances, and have current professional liability coverage.
