September is Healthy Aging Month!
As people age, they’re at a greater risk for many eye diseases and conditions including age-related macular degeneration and cataracts. Early detection and treatment by an eye doctor is critical to prevent vision loss.
Make sure your patients are taking care of their eyes as they get older and continue to see you for regular eye exams. And if they do experience vision loss, remember that Eschenbach has a variety of low vision aids you can offer that can help them accomplish their activities of daily living such as reading and writing, thereby improving their quality of life and allowing them to remain independent.

Gina, our COO & Treasurer, has been with Eschenbach since March 2021, bringing over 30 years of experience from both public and private growth firms across various industries including technology, marketing, insurance, and manufacturing. She began her journey at Eschenbach as the Controller and has since taken on the responsibility for all logistics, accounting, financial planning, and information systems.
Outside of work, Gina is an avid reader, enjoys walking, and finds peace near the water. On weekends, she and her husband love gardening and spending time with their adult children.

Two Lucky Winners are Going to Space Camp!
This year, Jack J. from Greensboro, NC and Wyatt D. from Burleson, TX have been selected for the Eschenbach Space Camp Scholarship! They will get to attend the Space Camp for Visually Impaired Students from October 6-10, 2024 at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. The unique Camp is specifically designed for students with a visual impairment so that they can fully participate in all of the space activities. Throughout the week, the students will be immersed in astronaut training techniques such as an anti-gravity trainer, underwater space station simulation build, a rocket launch and more!
