Check out our new Eschenbach Academy eLearning Platform!

Eschenbach Academy is a new online training platform designed to provide you and your staff access to low vision education and training anytime, on-demand. You can access this new platform by logging into the Eschenbach website (at www.eschenbach.com and clicking on the Eschenbach Academy link at the top). Once you are on the Eschenbach Academy website you can create a sign in using your Account Number and Billing Zip Code.

Log in and you can enroll in our first Low Vision Training Module entitled "Low Vision Basics". The first 200 customers to enroll in this module will receive a $5 Starbucks Gift Card - so sign up now!

NATIONAL CATARACT AWARENESS MONTH

June is National Cataract Awareness Month!

Cataracts are the world’s leading cause of blindness with more than half of all Americans age 80 or older either having cataracts or have had surgery to remove cataracts, according to the National Eye Institute (NEI). June has been declared Cataract Awareness Month to educate the public on the symptoms, types and treatments of cataracts. See details at PreventBlindness.org and make sure your patients know that they can reduce their risk of developing cataracts by wearing sunglasses which block harmful UV light. And if you have patients that already have cataracts where surgery is not an option, our Ambelis contrast-enhancing filters can help them see better. ESCHENBACH SPACE CAMP SPONSORSHIP

Eschenbach’s SCIVIS Space Camp Application Deadline is Fast approaching!

For the second year in a row Eschenbach will be supporting the SCIVIS program by sponsoring two students to attend their annual Space Camp being held from October 1-5, 2023. The Camp is a weeklong experience specifically designed for students who have visual impairment that takes place at the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama and is coordinated by teachers of the visually impaired. Throughout the week, students are immersed in astronaut training techniques using equipment adapted from NASA’s astronaut program which was made accessible for visually impaired students to participate fully!
