Eschenbach Academy is designed to provide you and your staff access to low vision education and training online and on-demand. You can access this new platform by logging into the Eschenbach website (at www.eschenbach.com and clicking on the Eschenbach Academy link at the top. Once you are on the Eschenbach Academy website you can create a sign in using your Account Number and Billing Zip Code.

Introducing the New Adventure M Monocular Telescope!

The Adventure M 8x25 Telescope is compact, lightweight, and ideal for low vision applications as well as for recreational use. With 8x magnification and a robust housing design, it is a useful monocular telescope for low vision patients whether indoors or outdoors.

The Adventure M telescope includes high quality BaK-4 prisms and multi-layer coatings which provide a true color image and it features an easy-to-focus mechanism that allows for smooth manual focusing from near to far. It’s nitrogen filled which prevents misting of the internal optics due to changes in temperature or altitude and the eye piece is adjustable and comes ready to use for spectacle wearers, but can be twisted and extended for use without eyeglasses.

The sleek design makes the Adventure M ideal for everyday use and it is easy to travel with since it weighs less than 5 ounces!

NATIONAL UV AWARENESS MONTH

May is National UV Awareness Month!

The warmer weather begins to encourage more outdoor activities, but extended exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays can cause damage to the eyes, which is why Prevent Blindness has declared May as Ultraviolet Awareness Month. The organization is seeking to educate the public on the negative effects of UV exposure to the eyes and vision, offering facts and shareable content.

To help protect against UV damage to the eyes it’s best to wear a brimmed hat in conjunction with UV-blocking sunglasses. Welcoming Joe Robinson to the Eschenbach Team! 

Eschenbach is pleased to announce Joe Robinson as our new Pacific Northwest Territory Manager who will be covering the US states of Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington, and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Alberta. Joe comes to Eschenbach with experience in the medical product industry and will be a great resource to his customers. He can provide their office with the tools they'll need to enhance their low vision care service or create a new, successful offering of low vision aids!

New Low Vision Book in Spanish
The second edition of Visión baja, a large print book on low vision written by low vision optometrist Abraham Bromberg, OD, and a colleague, has recently been published. This 306 page book has been updated with new information and is printed in large print so it is ideal for patients as well as their families and even health care workers.
