Introducing our New School Kit!

Eschenbach’s Portable School Kit contains an assortment of high quality optical low vision aids for both near and distance tasks to help meet the needs of broad range of students. We’ve included magnification devices that are some of the most commonly used by visually impaired students so you can help them succeed in the classroom. 

The kit comes with a rolling case that features two wheels and a telescoping handle for easy transportation, two foam tray inserts and a zippered pouch for storage. There are a total of 52 items in the Portable School Kit including 20 Hand-held Magnifiers, 16 Stand Magnifiers, 11 Telescopes/Monoculars, 3 Charts, a reading stand a tripod for the Mobase and a cleaning cloth.

NATIONAL CATARACT AWARENESS MONTH

June is Cataract Awareness Month!

Cataracts are the world’s leading cause of blindness, with more than 25 million Americans estimated to have a cataract. June has been declared Cataract Awareness Month to educate the public on the symptoms, types and treatments of cataracts. See details at PreventBlindness.org and make sure your patients know that they can reduce their risk of developing cataracts by wearing sunglasses which block harmful UV light. And if you have patients that already have cataracts where surgery is not an option, our Haven® contrast-enhancing filters can help them see better. The Mobase Stand can be used with the Mobilux® LED Magnifiers to Accomplish Additional Hands-Free Tasks!

By using a Mobase Stand with one of our Mobilux® LED hand-held magnifiers your patients can use the magnifier to accomplish not only near spotting tasks like reading clothing tags or restaurant menus, they can also use it for hands-free tasks like doing crafts or threading a needle. Patients just insert the Mobilux® LED magnifier into the appropriate Mobase Stand to set the magnifier in an upright position and they are ready to go!
