PRESCRIBE FOR MULTIPLE GOALS...
And Enhance Your Patient & Practice Outcomes!
Many visually impaired patients are provided with one solution for just one task during an exam when they usually have multiple tasks they have difficulty in accomplishing. Different tasks require different low vision devices so by helping your patients with another goal, you’ll need to dispense additional devices—and Eschenbach can help you with that!
Your local Territory Manager can pinpoint which devices you’re dispensing the most as “single item orders” and then provide recommendations on other complementary devices that can be dispensed. This will allow you to help your patients accomplish an additional goal or allow them to get more utility out of the device you dispensed for the first goal through the use of an accessory.
Set up a meeting with your Territory Manager to learn how you can improve your patient and practice outcomes from the low vision care service you provide by prescribing devices for multiple goals!

BRAIN INJURY AWARENESS MONTH
March is Brain Injury Awareness Month!
Visual problems are often overlooked during initial treatment of a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and in some cases, symptoms may not be present until sometime following the injury. Patients may notice changes in their vision following a concussion or some other head trauma and that should be a sign to immediately contact their eye care professional to determine the cause of the vision change. Early TBI diagnosis leads to appropriate treatment and/or referral to a specialist, such as a Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Optometrist.
TBI patients are often very light sensitive and can benefit from wearing special FL-41 filters that protect against unpleasant glare. Eschenbach carries a variety of Acunis FL-41 filters and are available in four different frame styles and three tints. Acute light sensitivity is also a common side effect of migraines and other eye diseases and FL-41 filters can help them too. Ask your Territory Manager about the new Acunis FL-41 filters today!
