GLAUCOMA AWARENESS MONTH
January is National Glaucoma Awareness Month!
The only way for your patients to find out if if they have glaucoma is to get a comprehensive dilated eye exam. There’s no cure for glaucoma, but early treatment can often stop the damage and protect their vision. Visit the National Eye Institute website to learn more about how you can support National Glaucoma Awareness Month and spread the word about this disease to your patients.
For your patients who may already be diagnosed with glaucoma, remember that Eschenbach carries a number of low vision aids that can increase their independence, safety and quality of life. 2021-2022 Lions Fellowship Training Program (Application deadline January 18, 2021)
- Program suited for optometry and ophthalmology residents and recent trainees who have an interest and clear dedication to advancing the field of low vision rehabilitation. Prior participation in a residency program is advantageous but not required.

Vision Rehabilitation Faculty Position
- Applicants should have an OD or MD degree and have completed an accredited residency and/or fellowship in Vision Rehabilitation, or have a record of extensive clinical experience caring for low vision patients and a strong interest in teaching.
- Faculty rank will be commensurate with past experience, qualifications, and responsibilities. This position reports directly to the Division Director and will remain open until filled.
