WHITE CANE SAFETY DAY
October 15th is National White Cane Safety Day!
The mission of White Cane Day is to educate the world about blindness and how the blind and visually impaired can live and work independently while giving back to their communities, to celebrate the abilities and successes achieved by these people in a sighted world and to honor the many contributions being made by the blind and visually impaired. The White Cane is an essential tool of independence for the blind—and for those who are visually impaired there are many others in the form of low vision devices, all of which improve the quality of life of those with vision loss.

Magno passed his first blindfold walk!
We’re proud to announce that our sponsored guide dog Magno passed his very first blindfold walk!
During this training test he had to safely navigate his blindfolded trainer around multiple obstacles and down a narrow walkway. He completed this task and passed with flying colors and is now one step closer to becoming a guide dog for the visually impaired.
